Why Not An Internet Business?

The most common question I am often asked by some of my customers who are newbies is ‘Is it too late to start an internet business?. My answer to that is an emphatic, No.

This is because I cannot think of a better business to do today. Have you ever considered the alternatives and compared them with an Internet business?

Look at the newspapers and magazines classified ads where franchise opportunities are advertised. The cost of buying into a franchise business opportunity is prohibitive to say the least. The reason for this is that you are buying in to an established business that has hopefully tested many of its management and marketing variables and is now deemed profitable. The creator of the business idea has endured all the pain that naturally comes with starting a brand new business off the ground. He is now enjoying a moderate to high level of success in his enterprise, hence the franchise roll out.

The franchise roll out inevitably becomes another income stream for him. What is not guaranteed (and no one can give you any guarantee whatsoever in any business venture) is that you will enjoy the same level of success, when the business is moved in to your neighbourhood. Therein lies the risk after you have paid huge sums of money to the franchise owner. The advantage of a franchise business deal is the enterprise is essentially ready for take-off.
The other alternative is to be innovative and creative, such that you start an entirely new business with your own idea (which you can actually claim the copyright). Take the financial risks, put in the hours, sweat it out and may be, just may be you could become successful and who knows, you may just roll out your own franchise as well. This might just appeal to you if you’ve got plenty of time and money to spare.

Step forward the Internet.

I have never known a business enterprise where the start up cost can be so low so long as you are careful and don’t get sucked in to ‘get rich quick’ schemes. Not very many people will argue with the fact that an internet business can be started with $1000 and under with careful planning and right tutoring.

What’s more, you don’t have to deal with employees, you certainly can run it from home (therefore no rentals), you can certainly work it part time at the start and become full time once you become comfortable with your earnings.

Other benefits of internet marketing include:

Pitching and selling directly to the world-wide market.
Automated sales and credit card payment making it possible to make sales 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Altering products prices and promotion to determine what the market wants.
Easy list building of your customers as they pass through your online store.

Operate your business from anywhere in the world as long as connection to the internet exists wherever you are.

Although to the newbies, the internet business might appear congested on the surface, the internet cake is a multi-billion dollar one and stretching into trillions shortly. It can only get bigger. Get in and get your own slice!

There are three ways to get in on the action.

Your idea for internet business could be competitive ( ‘me too’ model) or complementary to an existing idea or completely new and novel. If you have those three lines of thought, coming up with an internet business idea will surely pay dividends in the end with the right internet marketing strategies.

Don’t forget too that with time, your income from your internet business will soar well above your efforts. I’m sure you heard about one of the top internet marketers who made one million dollar sales in 24 hours from one product. Every day, vast sums of money are being made on the internet legitimately by all sorts of internet marketers, some of whom have no significant educational qualifications. You will Work Less and Earn more as you learn the art of strategic internet marketing. A word of caution though – do not expect overnight success. It takes time to build your business to highly profitable levels. Choose a business niche that you have insatiable interest in and also reinforces your strength. This way you will have fun and make money at the same time. One trick I learnt much later to my cost is to do what the so-called Gurus are doing, not what they are saying ----- yes do what they do, not what they say!

To succeed, you will need to be very organized especially if you are running the business part-time, manage your time intensely, assemble the relevant marketing tools and acquire the required knowledge and skills. Get this right and you will be well on your way to a 6-figure income in the shortest possible time.

Fact: The internet has created more millionaires than any other business medium in history.
You just need to learn to do it the right way.

What Leads To Success In A Home-Based Business?

Authors Sunny and Kim Baker, in doing research for their book, Peterson's Ultimate Home Office Survival Guide (Peterson's, $18.95), interviewed hundreds of home-based entrepreneurs and telecommuters to determine what they have in common as a group and how they have fared.
Among the findings:

* The ideas for successful businesses ranged from ordinary to weird and mundane to extraordinary, but the business idea seemed to be less important than the entrepreneur's desire to succeed.

* Age, sex, and ethnic background were not relevant in forecasting the success of the ventures.

* Education also was not a predictable factor of success.

* Motivation and productivity levels of telecommuters often surpass the performance of their peers who work in an office.

* Many of the home-based entrepreneurs were unemployed when they started their businesses.

* Most of the entrepreneurs started with less than $5,000 in the bank, and some had no savings.

The Bakers' book covers topics as varied as developing plans and setting up operations and work zones, managing time to increase productivity, selecting furniture, making sales, and handling promotion and legal issues. The book comes with a CD-ROM containing information for the home-office worker, including printable forms, lists of home-based-business opportunities, a sample business plan, links to related World Wide Web sites, and Internet browser software. The guide is available in bookstores. It also can be purchased by calling Peterson's at 1-800-338-3282 or visiting the publisher's Web site, www.petersons.com.

Business Opportunity – How To Find A Real Online Job

Although there are many different business opportunities and ways to make money online, there is always a problem in finding the right one. If you are an expert in some field, one way to earn money online is to offer your services to others.

Finding a good business opportunity online can be tricky, especially today when Internet is overloaded with all sorts of information about earning money from your home. All this information can be confusing sometimes and it may seem impossible to find a good, honest job you can do from your home.
There are many people worldwide in need of web designers, programmers, graphic designers, writers, experts in marketing and SEO, etc. If you possess the necessary skills, there is an excellent business opportunity for you - to become a freelancer.

You may probably wander how much this business opportunity costs. The answer is nothing. There is no cost to become a freelancer. You only have to possess some of the mentioned skills and be willing to do jobs for others.

This business opportunity is ideal for all sorts of professionals, experts without a job, students, skilled individuals looking to earn some money and even some IT companies that look for a way to expand their business.

The next question regarding this business opportunity is how to find people in need of your services? One way is to advertise your services to others on your website. The other way is to join sites intended for connecting freelancers and their service buyers. There are new jobs constantly on these sites and you only have to select projects you are interested in doing and bid for them.

Getting a freelance job on these sites is like winning an auction. Service buyers post their projects and then interested freelancers make their offers. Service buyers select freelancers to complete projects based on the offered price and time period necessary for project completion. Everytime a freelancer completes some project, he/she receives a feedback from service buyer. The feedback serves as a reputation of a freelancer. As freelancers complete more and more projects, they build up their reputation. Many service buyers also consider reputation when they choose their freelancers.

The key to success in this business opportunity (getting more jobs) is to offer your services for a lower cost until you gain feedback and to offer examples of your previous work. This should increase your chances to be selected as a freelance service provider.

A lot of money can be made with this business opportunity and that mostly depends on the type of project you must complete, time necessary for the completion of the project and the level of expertise needed. Usually projects that pay the most involve Java, ASP, PHP programming, flash, SEO, marketing and web design. There are some jobs that pay over $5000.

If you are interested in this business opportunity, you’ll find more information (including sites you can join) here:

Home Based Business The Easy Way - Do What You Do Best

A few years ago, my wife and I were forced into a do-or-die decision. I was about to lose my job due to staff cuts and we had to get another income source quickly. We had three main skills we could rely on – web designing, teaching and cooking. Freelancing as a Web Designer and giving tuition would take too long to set up. We needed something quick, so we set up a home catering business even though we didn't know the first thing about running a home business. The only thing we were sure of was that my wife was a great cook.

Two years later and with a steady customer base, we're now proud to call ourselves home business owners. We would have been up to our necks in trouble if we didn't go with our instincts and made this life-saving decision. Looking back, the transition to being home business owners wasn't difficult for us because we did what we knew best. Everyday, it's like we're cooking for a (rapidly) growing family! As we began our home catering business, I also set up a couple of websites. They're already starting to bring in money and I predict that in two years time, we will be very comfortable financially! When push came to shove, we relied on what we knew best and it pulled us through – the very talents that we considered insignificant and took for granted.

If you're thinking about starting a freelance or home based business, or if you desperately need a lifeline, get out your pen and paper and start writing. List everything that you enjoy doing. Write down every talent or ability that you have or at least you think you have. Don't leave out anything no matter how insignificant you think it is, from typing to cooking to making a great cup of coffee!

Now, go through that list one item at a time and brainstorm with your partner or a trusted friend. I say "trusted" because you want someone who can encourage you, not kill your ideas with loads of negativity! Try to come up with ideas about how you can make money using your talents. Many people don't realize that the easiest way to earn extra money or to start a home based business is to do what comes naturally. After so many years of working at a job (they probably hate), they've been conditioned to think that even a home based business has to be something that's hard to do. For my wife and me the easy way was cooking. For you, it may be something that you do everyday that you never considered to be a money maker. Let your home based business be a natural progression of what you do best!

Maybe you make sandwiches that are out of this world. Have you considered making and selling them? How about if you make coffee that you consider average but others think is simply "to die for"… could you set up a small coffee place? What about your ability to keep your house spick and span even with three very messy teenagers living with you? You could provide cleaning service to others who desperately need it! Do you get the idea? Know what you do best and expand it into a money-making home business!

Admittedly, some businesses are better money makers than others, and we are fortunate to have started a home catering business which brings in a very nice profit each month. However, I've always told my friends that when you first start out, it shouldn't be only about money. What's more important is the confidence you gain knowing that you DO have talents and abilities that can make you money. The trick of course, is to always keep learning, fine-tuning your money-making abilities, building on your strengths and never ever give up.

I'd like to leave you with this quote – "The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step". You DO NOT have to lead a miserable life holding on to a job you hate. Nobody's asking you to give up your job NOW and blindly jump into a home business – that's crazy – but life holds an abundance of opportunities for you if you will only take that first step! With any luck, you WILL get sidetracked and venture into areas where you never knew you could make money! Our home catering business has opened up many opportunities which we never considered. We are finally making money doing what we do best. I know that you can too!

He and his wife run a successful home catering business. When not up to his eyeballs in veggie, meat, gravy and being official taster for his catering business, he manages his websites, writes for numerous other sites and magazines and fools around with his kids. Is Your Online Business A Hobby Or A Real Business?

A common question today is: "Why aren’t I making any money from my web site?" The main reason for this lack of success is that there are too many hobby sites rather than real business sites on the internet.

Your web site is a hobby business when:

+ Your web page is full of sophisticated animation and graphics taking forever to load;

+ You do not have your own product - instead you have links to many affiliate or network marketing programs, you have never bought the products or services and have no knowledge of their quality or suitability;

+ You respond to email enquiries as and when you feel like it rather than promptly;

+ You don’t provide sufficient contact details on your page so that people can contact you easily;

+ You have a hit counter that keeps on being inflated by you visiting your own site to see how many hits you have generated;

+ You’re advertising and promotion is non-existent or is inconsistent and poorly focused;

+ Your web site does not lead your customer through a sales process; and,

+ You expect that having a web site is all you need to do to make money on the net.

Business success on the internet demands a "real business" approach that is professional and focused on the customer or client. To have a real business requires that you have your own "sales funnel" that will usually involve having your own product or service.

In simple terms, a sales funnel is an approach to the sales process that works very successful for those who implement it properly. At the top of the funnel are your prospects. You qualify your prospects through offering something for free that is directly related to your product or service. In many cases this is a free newsletter or ezine that will allow you to demonstrate your expertise and stay in front of your prospects so that you can eventually convert them into customers.

As prospects move through the funnel, they are offered a product or service at a low price point. For example, an electronic book for $30 could be sold to your prospects. Once they buy this product they have become one of your customers. You have qualified their interest in or need for the products and services that you offer.

Moving into the lower part of the funnel, you offer your customers your higher priced products or services. As these people have already bought from you, trust and credibility have been established and they will buy the higher priced items more readily than if you offered them to your prospects directly. This is usually the area where you will make most of your profits.
While the above is a rough example of the sales funnel concept, I think it illustrates a sales approach that is characteristic of a real business. Additional products and services, including affiliate programs that you recommend, can be offered to your customers with greater potential for profit.

Real businesses know the profile of their likely customers and have a marketing plan for how to reach them in the most cost-effective manner. They are consistent in their advertising and promotion activities. They track the results of all activities so that they know what is working and what isn’t. Decisions can be made on facts rather than guesses.

Full contact details are provided on a real businesses web site so that customers and potential customers can easily contact them. They are customer service oriented and answer e-mails promptly. They also provide a full guarantee that they honour without question.
As they know their potential customers, they ensure their web site is easy to navigate, quick loading, and provides the information their potential customer needs to decide to make the purchase.

A real business is conducted in a professional manner. Real businesses will make real money on the internet today! Don’t operate your web site with a hobby mentality – be professional and follow business success principles and you will be able to build the business of your dreams.

Don't Let Frustration Get In The Way Of Your Home Business. Learn What Mind Frame You Should Have Coming Into To This Highly Competitive Business

Frustration!

There's nothing more frustrating than starting a new business of any kind and it doesn't meet your expectations. All your projections are a little off, you don't get all the money you'd hoped for immediately, you start to feel hapless and start having thoughts of throwing in the towel. I'm here to tell you that you don't have to go down that road, and if you happen to go down that path, I am your road map. So pick your head up if you are feeling a bit frustrated and get your home business headed in the right direction.

Word of Mouth

As a businessperson, you must keep the customer in mind at all times. When you do that, not only do you earn their respect, but also they come to trust you. Many people make the mistake of thinking about ways they can make the quickest buck, but in the meantime what they're really doing is neglecting the customer's need--without the consumer there is no business. You know what happens after that? People receive poor products and bad service, then they go on to tell other people--then your business is eventually run into the ground.

Never underestimate the power of word of mouth; it can help or hurt your business. You should use this free promotional tool to your advantage and give your home business the best effort possible--especially if you are attempting to become an affiliate or a reseller.

"I just can't do it...there's too much to do in so little time!"

It hurts me to hear people say this. It's never too much work to operate a home business; if there is, then there is something that you are doing wrong. You probably have a heavier workload at school or work, but at the end of the day you do what you have to do to get things done. Whether it's going to bed a couple of hours earlier to wake up in the morning, or logging in extra time with classmates in order to wrap the last details of a research report--you some how improvise. So why not take that same mind-set (it has to be done) and build your home business with no fear?

The best advice I have for you is to break things down when it seems like there is too much to do. Never go around a problem, try to solve it by going through it. That way if you ever see it down the road again you know exactly how to handle it. Do not let the opportunity of a lifetime--a home business--pass you by because you think it's "too much" work.

Never think something has to be done in one particular way, everyone is different. Some people looking to start a home business have kids and some don't. Others have more time intensive jobs than others. But no matter whom you are and what you do, you can start a home business if you break down the workload into manageable portions. I know you can do it.

A watched pot never boils

No matter what home business you decide to choose, you should remember that patience indeed pays off. Many people tend to give up if they don't see money flowing in right away. They constantly stare at the clock wondering why they haven't earned their pot of gold yet. Your success may come sooner or later than others. If you continue to work hard and be persistent, then something good will come of your efforts--eventually.

Don't put any artificial deadlines on your success: " If I don't make 35,000 by the end of the year I'm going to pull out of this business." Just continue to work hard, and before you know it the cogs will begin to turn (all you'll have to do after that is lubricate your machine with oil every now and then).

If you want to be successful you have to work at it. Nothing ever comes too easy, if it does, then you can cater it to good luck. While we all wish for luck, we shouldn't be dependant on it. Don't stare at the numbers--or lack thereof--in the beginning, just continue to pursue you dream... never give up.

Don't bite off more than you can chew

When starting a home business, be careful not to spend every dollar you have in order to make things work. Yes, we do want our home business to thrive, but not at the expense of our rent or mortgage. This is not a casino, you should not gamble. While there are risks in starting any business, a home business has minimal risks when compared to other business ventures.

Bottom line: If you can't afford to invest a specific amount of money at a particular time then you're better off not doing it. Attempting to spend your last dollar to start a home business is like diving head first into a shallow swimming pool...you may or may not be able to recover from it.

Realistic goals

Please remember that success is relative to your particular situation. For example, if you spend hours a week on your home business, it may allow you to build your income faster than a person who spends far less time (an hour total every week) on their business. You should have realistic expectations so you can celebrate each one of your individual milestones with vigor and zeal--not disappointment, something that happens all too often due to unrealistic goals.

The home businesses I mention are viable businesses, not "get reach rich by only spending $19.95" schemes. Building a business from the ground up will take time and effort... in my mind, that is time well spent.

Generating Residual Income From Home

Would you like to make money even when you don't go to work? The secret is to have your work continue to pay you even when you stop. A machine that once started continues to operate even when you aren't there. It's called residual income, and you can make it too.

Residual income means that once you have set the wheels in motion you can continue to collect money - possibly forever! Who wouldn't want to have a business that puts money in your pocket day or night, whether you are working or not?

Is residual income only a dream? For many enterprising individuals it is not just a dream - it's a reality. The concept is simple - Do the hard work first and collect on it indefinitely. By understanding the business models that this principle applies to you can also start making residual income.

CREATE A PRODUCT FOR OTHERS TO SELL

Writing a book tops the list for one of the most popular methods of creating residual income, but you can also create other products such as software programs or even a physical product. The key is that you want the business as automated as possible so that once you've set it up you don't have to continue working as hard.

How does it work? Traditionally if you write a book you sign with a publishing company for royalties or sell your book yourself. The hardest work is creating the book. However, once the book was finished you can continue collecting profits on every sale.

The same is true if you choose to sell a product that is made and delivered by another company - often called drop shipping. By creating a sales page on the internet that will appeal to your audience you can continue to collect profits on the sales of your product or book without having to do the work each time.

If you have a special knowledge about a particular topic, or if you are skilled at research and writing, you can likely find a topic worth writing about. If you need to sell with little overhead you can even write a book in PDF format that can be downloaded rather than traditionally printed and shipped to the buyer.

If you choose drop shipping of a physical product, find something you can create an interesting website around. Share lots of information with the prospective buyer and create a professional sales page. With the proper combination of marketing skills and interested customers you can create a system that works even when you don't!

REFERRAL AND TIERED AFFILIATE PROGRAMS

Many online business use affiliate programs as an easy way to create a sales force. If you are good at promoting a program or product to others you may find that you can generate profits from a second tier sales force that you recruit.

This form of residual income is also common in other businesses including selling makeup, natural cleaners and insurance products. Whatever your passion there is likely a business that will appeal to you.

Once you've created a sales force you can start collecting a percentage of their sales. With hard work and dedication you may be able to rest from your efforts while your team continues to work for you. Creating your own book or product AND recruiting a profitable sales force combine for the ideal business model for making residual income!

Ultimate Internet Marketing for Beginners

dRegardless of how well established an online company is, I guarantee they will still frequently deploy these startegies.

Why?

Because they work!

There is a simple and obvious rule that applies to all websites, "The more people that visit your site, the more money you make." Whether that be via product sales, services, advertising etc.

Here are my top 3 tips, you will note that they are all completely free.

1) Linking: Search engines and directories.

The most obvious and generally the first thing any website owner should do is proceed to get their URL on to the top search engines, Yahoo and Google. The majority will leave it at that.
Furthermore you should be submitting to directories, the biggest being dmoz.org; however a quick search and their will be plenty more to choose from - some of which will surprise you by their popularity as you may not have heard of many of them.

You will find some sites that offer multiple submissions for you. One good example being addme.com.

Also, try and get some bloggers on side. There are a few blogs that get ridiculous amounts of traffic so linking with said blogs could be and invaluable source of traffic.

2) E-mailing: Marketing to sales.

Once you are established you will have an e-mailing list and you can send thousands of e-mails in a few seconds. Unfortunately if you're reading this, then you are a bit off yet.

Use search engines and business directories to get a list of e-mails relevant to your business. A lot of websites now have a contact form as opposed to direct e-mail addresses, this is fine, just take a note of their URL.

Collecting the addresses is very boring and monotonous but a worthy cause.
Once you have a large list of e-mails (1000+) you can now start contacting potential clients. Before sending out the e-mails re-visit each site, you can tailor your sales pitch according to the site design and content.

Making it personal and individual reduces the chance of it being deemed as spam and immediately deleted.

If you receive negative replies assume this as an opportunity to close a sale, "Why should I advertise at your site?" - you tell them why and you tell them good.

Ultimately if you make no sales you will have at least had 1,000 new visitors to your site.

3) PR: It's like a free full page advert!

You'd be amazed at what's considered journalism these days. Don't worry if you don't know where to start, just get on your favorite search engine and input "Free PR Tips". You will quickly understand what you need to do.

Just remember to make the headline as eye catching as possible, the whole balance on having your article published is whether or not the editor reads past the headliner.

Newspapers are always struggling for stories so make yours stand out from the crowd.
Remember to hit all the online news sites as well, however if you get a national newspaper to publish your story you will find the story will be on their site too. National papers of course get plenty of traffic to their site so you will have also created a golden link.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bonus Tip: Search for "Free Marketing Tips" on the major search engines. The majority of results will require you to subscribe to their newsletters, do so and you will receive plenty of excellent marketing tips in your e-mail.

Beware though these guys aren't stupid, but neither or you. All these free tips they are giving you is eventually going to lead to them putting the sell hard on you. When this happens just subscribe to the next guys/gals newsletter.

With all these free tips you will eventually be able to compile a "killer Marketing Strategies" ebook yourself. And of course sell it for $99 per pop - that's half the regular price!

Hope any of this helps.

Cheers.

Choosing A Home Based Business Opportunity

Hi there!
Have you recently been giving serious consideration to starting a home business? Well join the club. Thousands of individuals just like yourself are starting home based businesses every month.

The market is wide open and the demand for working from home is getting more and more popular. With many people suddenly finding themselves unemployed because of changes in their work place, many more are also looking at the idea of working from home. This article will offer some suggestions in choosing a home based business opportunity.
Here are five things that will help you decide.

Write Down Some Ideas

Here is where you can be wild and creative. Make three separate lists. First, think about (and write down) everything you ever wanted to do, from home, as your own business. Now list everything that you know you have both interests and talents in. Make a third list of the talents that you have that others might have a need for (marketable).

Do Some Research

After you have that list, go to the internet, and begin to look up various sites that deal with home based businesses. Some of these sites will give you lists of many ideas. Find some of them, and then, using the list that you already made, get more ideas to either add to it, or refine some of your ideas into more specific categories. For instance, say that you have a desire to write. You will find a number of ideas for writers that are home based. You may find resume writer, copywriter, content writer for web articles, and maybe copyediting. You might add in some similar things that you will also see, like website design, or virtual assistant.

Select One Or Two Possibilities

From this list you should now be able to reduce your ideas to one or two that stand out and spark your interests. Do a little more research to do two things: get some ideas about what it will take to get started in that type of business; and, find out how much you might expect to realistically make from that kind of business.

Determine Your Budget

This will help you to see whether or not you should pursue that kind of business, and also what you have to work with for a budget. Some money should be kept aside in the event that things do not go as expected. Plainly speaking, not every home based business is a success.

Get Ready To "Open The Doors"

Once your business is selected, and you know what is needed, then preparation needs to be started. Of course you want to do it right, so, with your budget in mind, start getting ready to open those doors for business. Don't forget your website, and also the advertising.

Warm regards,
Kenny Anderson

6 Steps to an Effective Online Business

Creating and running an effective online business is realistically comprised of several hundred, rather than 11, but this will serve as a guide for the direction of your efforts. Contrary to what you may hear rampantly on the Internet, there is no cookie-cutter, get-rich quick scheme on the web. Not only is every online business different, what works for one person or in one month may not work for another person or in the next month.

The Internet is constantly changing, and the online market is inherently different this year than it was last year. New technological improvements occur monthly, and impact the online business environment. What works for one individual when he is the first to sell a certain product a certain way may not work just six months later when he has sold his idea to 40,000 other marketers, and they all begin to promote it. Traffic generation tactics are significantly different than they were just a year ago, and hardly resemble profitable strategies three years ago.
These 11 Steps are simply the bare-bones skeleton of what has to happen for your online business to be successful. They are foundational, and although the implementation strategies are different today than several years ago, the basic steps remain the same.

1. Develop or discover a product.
You must find a product that meets today’s needs. A 5 year old product whose resell rights you can buy for a dollar or get for free probably won’t meet the needs of today’s consumers. You must be willing to pay for the rights to sell a current , useful product, or become an affiliate marketer, where you promote a popular product, and in exchange are paid a percentage of the income from the sale.

2. Determine how the potential customers can view your product and see a sales presentation.
If you develop your own product or purchase the rights to sell someone else’s, you will need a website. A few tips here: Rather than accept free web hosting, purchase your own domain name and pay to have your domain name and web site hosted by a professional web hosting company with a reputable history. If your free web hosting company goes bankrupt, they generally take your fledgling business with them.

3. Once you have your web site up and running, unless you are using an affiliate program that supplies a sales page, you must develop a sales script and web copy. Aside from your web hosting decision, this is probably the most important thing you can do. You may be tempted at first to write a sales pitch on your own, but unless you already have a lot of experience in the offline market writing effective sales letters, you need to, absolutely must, invest in a few courses on web copywriting. Be willing to spend some money upfront on learning this skill. Too many marketers try to wing it in this area and after a few months of losing money online, finally break down and purchase the knowledge to write a good sales pitch. Do it the other way around—buy the knowledge first, and start making sales from the beginning. Customers will not buy just because you have a web site---they buy from the web site that does the best job of convincing them it has the best product for their need.

4. You must develop a traffic source that works.
When you first begin, you may be on a shoestring, and that is OK. Assuming you have been willing to spend some money on sales letter writing and a decent web host, you may be able to skimp in the traffic arena for awhile, if you have plenty of time. If you do not have money to advertise, nor time to seek out low cost advertising, you probably shouldn’t be attempting an online business. If you do choose to go the low-cost route—know two things up front—the returns are really low and you will spend vast amounts of time on traffic generation. Once you begin to make sales, you must invest your income in paid forms of traffic generation. If you do not, you will run out of enthusiasm for generating the free traffic, and without reinvesting the income from your first sales into advertising, you are sure to fail. Good sources of low-cost, but time consuming traffic are: writing articles and posting them to article directories, low cost classified ads, and ezine ads. You may see hyped-up ads for thousands or visitors for a low cost or millions of banner ads for another reasonable price—both of these methods may have worked 2 years ago, but they are a sure waste today.

5. Once you begin to get traffic to your online business site, you must keep detailed records of where the traffic comes from, and what percentage of visitors from each source are purchasing your product. If you have visitors that cost you $50 per hundred to come to your web site, but on average they only purchase $25 per hundred visitors, the income may feel good, but you are not profitable, and are losing money. By tracking your expenses on each type of visitor and by tracking your revenue on the same sources of visitors, you can determine which campaigns need changes or need to be eliminated and which need to be increased in intensity.

6. By following this pattern of steps, and by keeping diligent records (there is plenty of good web site tracking software on the market that can help you do that), you can develop a profitable online business. Again, it will not happen overnight, and you will not get rich quick. However, if you build a solid online business with a solid foundation, and are willing to spend some money learning how to do it right, you really can become successful in business online.

How To Quickly Achieve Financial Success With Your Own Internet Home Business

Have you ever wondered what the secret to quick and easy financial success is?

Well, one of those secrets for more and more people around the world who are just like you and me is, starting your own internet home business!
The thing is though, that there are some hidden secrets that the so-called ‘experts’ are usually not willing to share with you and others like you.
You see, those ‘secrets’ or principles can and will make you successful but the trick is finding the right person to teach you.
The trick is finding a coach or mentor with a proven track record whose sole focus is your success!
The most important mentor I had in my own internet business was a younger college student that I met online a few years ago.
I mean, there I was young, strapping and in charge of the day to day operations of a multi-million dollar, international corporation and then one day this younger guy tells me that he makes more in a week online than I do in a month and most times more than I made in two months!
Worse yet he was a full-time student with a heavy Singaporean accent so English wasn’t even his native language.
At first I thought this guy is a joke, and he was pulling my chain just to mess with me. Then I thought he was into some shady type of illegal thing.
But I have to say I was quite jealous when he showed me his internet home business income! WOW, was I impressed!
Of course he proceeded to tell me EVERY step of how to make that kind of money and you know what happened…
I did absolutely nothing! Yes, I Rasheed Ali was guilty of procrastination. I should have been locked up and actually, I almost had my self put away after doing 3 years of research into making money online.
The reason for that was I discovered that this college student guy who happens to be the great Jo Han Mok himself, had not only become a legend online but he had freely given me EVERY piece of information that I had just spent about $25,000 and 3 years to learn all over again.
It drove me nuts! I couldn’t believe I did that.
Imagine what you could do if…you had someone to teach you the keys to rapidly building your own internet home business empire!
As you keep skimming through this article, you're beginning to think... “Hmmm? What are those keys?”

So to make it easy on you I’ll list a rough sample of some of them here:

• Decide what you want to do! In other words what type of internet home business do you want to start? Do some keyword research and see what people are looking for.

• Take out a good old fashioned pen and paper and write down the next 10 steps you must take in order to accomplish getting your website up. These are small steps not HUGE overly exaggerated ones. Check them off as you go. When you complete them, write down the next 10 and so on.

• Once your website is up research a good auto-responder program, purchase it and install it if necessary, then put up a subscription box on all of your live web pages in order to create a database of names and email addresses. This is a key defining factor in running a successful internet home business. Building a list of potential customers.

• Write an attention grabbing headline and a short message that tells your future visitors about the benefits of your product, service or newsletter…NOT the features! Writing good direct response copy is a valuable skill that must be learned over time OR you can pay an experienced copywriter to do it for you if you have the money. This one skill alone has made me financially free!

• Give some valuable information on your topic to your new subscribers for free in order to build a trusting relationship with them. Relationship marketing is an extremely effective form of marketing and has the power to build you a vast fortune if applied correctly.

• Create an e-book, CD or DVD on solving the most burning problems that people have in your industry. For example if your industry is the Golfing industry then maybe a product on improving your golf swing would be one that solves a burning problem.

• Write a direct response styled sales letter and add a Paypal button at the end of it so you can collect payments. Again, this is a learned skill.

• Start selling it to your subscribers, and then to the rest of the world!

Now I’ll be honest that list is a VERY rough one but as you can see, it is extremely simple. The fact is that there are many smaller things that must be accomplished within each of those listed and even more that I haven’t mentioned here.
It would take books and books of writing to accomplish that and this is just a short article.
The fact of the matter is this, my friend…

You can do what everyone else is doing and get the same kind of mediocre results they're getting, or you can learn the powerful internet home business strategies that the successful entrepreneurs are using to create financial success and build empires at incredible speeds!
Decide on your area of focus and take ACTION on it today!
